Ingredients

- 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Cream butter & sugars: Beat together until light and fluffy.
- Add egg & vanilla: Mix well.
- Combine dry ingredients: Flour, baking soda, salt.
- Gradually add dry to wet: Mix until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Chill dough: At least 30 mins.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Scoop large balls onto baking sheet.
- Bake 12-15 mins: Until edges are set, center is soft.
- Cool on baking sheet before transferring to a rack.
