Ingredients
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 cloves garlic minced
1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 cup fresh basil chopped
Instructions
1. Lightly season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
2. Place the chicken in the slow cooker.
3. In a bowl mix crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, garlic, and Italian seasoning.
4. Pour the tomato mixture over the chicken.
5. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours.
6. Stir in the heavy cream and parmesan cheese.
7. Cook for an additional 10–15 minutes until the sauce becomes creamy.
8. Sprinkle with fresh chopped basil before serving.
9. Serve warm with pasta, rice, or crusty bread.
Notes
For extra flavor add sautéed mushrooms or spinach to the sauce.
Use freshly grated parmesan for the best creamy texture.
