Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
2 tablespoons butter
2 (10.5 ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup
1 medium onion, finely diced
1 (10 ounce) package refrigerated biscuit dough
2 cups water, or as needed to cover
Instructions
Place the chicken, condensed soup, diced onion, and butter in the slow cooker. Add enough water to cover, then stir well.
Cover and cook on High for 5 to 6 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
About 30 minutes before serving, tear the biscuit dough into pieces and add them to the slow cooker.
Continue cooking until the dough is no longer raw in the center.
Serve hot and enjoy.
Notes
Swap the water for chicken broth or stock for a richer flavor. You can use more biscuit dough if you like, but it may need extra cooking time to cook through.
