Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Cream butter & sugars: Beat together until light and fluffy.
  • Add egg & vanilla: Mix well.
  • Combine dry ingredients: Flour, baking soda, salt.
  • Gradually add dry to wet: Mix until just combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Chill dough: At least 30 mins.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Scoop large balls onto baking sheet.
  • Bake 12-15 mins: Until edges are set, center is soft.
  • Cool on baking sheet before transferring to a rack.
